Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a foldable smartphone that is part of the Samsung lineup Galaxy Z. It was presented at the August edition of the fair Galaxy Unpacked in 2022 together with the model Galaxy Z Flip 4. It was launched on August 25, 2022. It is the successor to the model Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Design
External display and back panel of the phone Z Fold 4 is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus+, while the internal folding display is made of Samsung's proprietary glass Ultra-Thin Glass covered with two protective plastic layers. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is available in four colors: Phantom Black, Beige, Gray Green, and Burgundy.
Hardware and features
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 features dual displays: a 6,2″ cover display and a foldable inner 7,6″ display with pen support S Pen Pro a S Pen Fold Edition. Both displays have provariable refresh rate of 120 Hz. Compared to the model Z Fold 3 now has a square aspect ratio (~6:5 oproti ~5:4), while the cover display is slightly wider (about 3 mm) and slightly shorter.
Z Fold 4 offers 12 GB of RAM and either 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of UFS 3.1 flash storage, without support for expanding the device's capacity using micro-SD cards, and is equipped with procesor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Power is provided by a 4400 mAh battery that charges quickly via USB-C up to 25 W or provia wireless charging up to 15 W.
Camera
Z Fold 4 is equipped with three rear cameras, including a 50MP wide-angle camera, ultraa 12MP wide-angle camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. The wide-angle camera shares a sensor with the S22 and S22+ and replaces the previous 12MP sensor, while the telephoto camera has been upgraded from 2x to 3x optical zoom. It has two front-facing cameras, a 10MP camera on the cover display and a 4MP camera under the display on the right half of the inner display.
