Google is expanding Google Pics, a new graphics creation tool that aims to simplify working with visual content in a similar way to Canva did years ago. The difference is that this time, artificial intelligence is at the center. The user doesn't have to start with a blank canvas or know exactly what the resulting design should look like.
Google Photos was already presented at the conference Google I/O 2026, but wider availability is only now coming. Google offers it as a separate application and at the same time gradually integrates it into its Workspace ecosystem.
