Better late than never, they say. Samsung has started releasing the August security update 2026 until the end of the month, so it's releasing it to eligible supported devices in September. Now it's time Galaxy S22, other tablets but also the latest Galaxy Watch.

Samsung August security update 2026 It addresses a total of 56 vulnerabilities. The package includes 38 fixes from Google and 18 security patches specific to Samsung. Google has rated 8 bugs as critical, while the remaining 30 are of high severity.

So, if the update is already available for your device (it will start rolling out to other regions in the next few days), you shouldn't hesitate to install it. If you don't get it from the notification you received, you can find it in Settings -> Software update -> Download and install.
