Samsung is preparing a major application upgrade SmartThings, which serves as a central control center for the smart home. Leaked information suggests that it will not be just cosmetic changes. The new version will bring a redesigned interface, faster access to functions and several new features that should make everyday use much more enjoyable.

Different color schemes will be displayed in the morning, afternoon, evening and night, which is intended to give the application a more vibrant and modern character.

Faster smart home control

Included in the update SmartThings there will also be new ones widgets, which will simplify controlling the device directly from the phone's home screen. Three are to be added varianty:

  • Routines.

This will allow you to run automations or control selected devices without having to open the app itself, a move that will be especially appreciated by users with larger smart homes.
