The recently released Android 17 doesn't bring any groundbreaking changes, but it does come with a number of significant improvements in various areas. One of them is a multitasking feature called app bubbles, which allows you to turn an app into a floating bubble that you can access and use on top of other apps whenever you need it.
Although this feature is for phone users Pixel great, phone owners Galaxy have had something similar for years. It's a pop-up display, and while it's based on the same principle, it works differently in some ways - which is what makes it so much better than app bubbles.
Superstructure One UI offers two main multitasking modes: split-screen view and pop-up view. If you've been using your phone for a while, Galaxy, you're probably familiar with or have used split-screen mode, which lets you split your display and use two apps at the same time. However, you may have overlooked the pop-up view because it's not as familiar.

This multitasking mode allows you to open an app in a floating window with adjustable size. You can use the app in this window as usual. When you are finished, you can close the app window. miniThis bubble then floats above other apps and you can tap it at any time to use the app again.
This feature is useful, for example, when you want to watch videos on YouTube while continuing a conversation on WhatsAppwithout having to constantly switch between the two applications. Another use is to perform quick calculations or unit conversions using numbers displayed in one application, eliminating the need to repeatedly switch to the Calculator or unit conversion application.
While the idea behind app bubbles in Android 17 is the same, the pop-up view stands out by opening apps in a resizable window. This allows you to individually adjust the size of all open app windows on the screen as needed. Similarly, you can move the app window anywhere on the screen without limiting its usability. One UI Additionally, at the top of the application window, it offers controls that allow you to switch to full-screen or split-screen mode if needed.
How to use pop-up view
There are several ways to access the pop-up view. The first is through the recent apps menu. Here's how:
- Click on the button Recent.
- Tap the icon of the selected application.
- Select an option Open in a new window.
The other (a fastest) way is to use a gesture Drag to view in new window (thought from the top corner towards the center of the screen)which you activate in Settings→Advanced features→Multi window.
The last method involves using the edge panel. If the desired application is located there, drag it to the middle of the screen and drop it on the small window that says “Drop here to open in new window.” If the app isn’t in the panel, tap the All Apps icon (located at the bottom next to the pencil icon) and drag the one you want to open in a pop-up window to the middle of the screen.
