Hand on heart: How many times do you find yourself staring at your phone's lit screen in the dark at night? Scrolling through social media, reading news, or watching videos has become a ritual for many of us. I probably don't need to emphasize that it's a big strain on the eyes and our sleep suffers as a result. But habit is habit...

Fortunately, phones in themselves Galaxy hide a function in a name Eye comfortIf you're not using it yet, you're missing out on one of the easiest ways to relieve your eyes and finally get a good night's sleep.

Why do our eyes burn when we look at our phones in the evening and we can't fall asleep? The main culprit is the blue light that screens emit.

  • Confusion in the head: Blue light stimulates the brain to produce cortisol (the wakefulness hormone) and blocks the production of melatonin (the sleep hormone).
  • Eye fatigue: Constantly focusing on a high-contrast and bright display leads to blurred vision and headaches.

That's why Samsung came up with technology that can significantly reduce blue light emission without compromising the experience of using your phone.

How Eye Comfort works

Function Eye comfort on phones Galaxy does much more than just make the display "turn yellow". It is a sophisticated system that can adapt to your daily rhythm. It offers two basic modes:

Adaptive

This mode is for those who don't want to worry about anything. The phone uses artificial intelligence and sensors to automatically adjust the display colors based on the time of day.

  • Enjoy bright and true colors throughout the day.
  • As the sun begins to set, the display subtly warms and filters out blue light. The transition is so smooth that your eyes won't even notice.

Own

If you want to have control over this feature, you can set a precise schedule or not within the custom modechat activate the filter exactly at the moment of sunset. You can also set the color temperature yourself - from a soft yellow tint to a deep orange filter for maximal protection.

How to activate Eye Comfort

Enabling Eye Comfort only takes a few moments. Just follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click on the menu Display.
  • Turn on the switch Eye comfort.
  • If you want to choose between adaptive and custom mode (adaptive is activated by default), click on the function itself.

This feature may seem like a small thing to you, but from my experience, I have to say that it really relieved my eyes. I also have the habit of reading the news and scrolling through social networks in the evening, and before I discovered this gadget, my eyes were getting quite tired. Now I hardly feel the pain and my sleep has improved. Of course, it would be ideal to put your phone away for the evening, but if you can't help it like I can, the Eye Comfort feature is here for you.
