Samsung officially announces the date of its upcoming summer event Galaxy Unpacked, via a short teaser. This confirmed earlier speculation that his big press conference would take place on July 22nd. 2026The event will be held in London and will be live streamed on Samsung's official website and YouTube channel.

A teaser in the form of a ticket with the text "A New Shape Unfolds" is then transformed into an opening box with a four-star logo Galaxy AI. Moreover, the shape of the ticket itself still resembles a new form factor Galaxy Fold8, which should be lower but wider than Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.

What can we look forward to according to leaked information? Samsung has several big premieres up its sleeve this year in the areas of flexible phones, wearable electronics, and completely new segments.

Flexible phones

  • Galaxy Z Flip8: A thinner and lighter body is expected, with the Exynos 2600 processor at the heart of the clamshell. The display size, cameras, and battery capacity will likely remain the same as its predecessor, but there is speculation that faster charging will be implemented.
  • Galaxy Z Fold8: It should have a wider and lower design (more comfortable display aspect ratio), a lightweight chassis, a 4,800 mAh battery, and a dual main camera setup.
  • Galaxy From Fol8 Ultra: The most equipped jigsaw on offer. Unlike FoldThe u8 will retain the more traditional elongated form factor, but will feature a triple rear camera and a larger 5,000mAh battery. The dimensions and weight should match last year's standard model.

Wearable electronics and will smart glasses also come?

  • Galaxy Watch9: They will stick to the previous generation in terms of appearance, but will bring more advanced features for tracking health, sleep, and fitness metrics.
  • Galaxy Watch Ultra2: Durable watch will offer a more refined design, Snapdragon processor Wear Elite, brighter display and massive 800mAh battery for long-lasting battery life.
  • Galaxy Glasses: The first augmented reality (AR) smart glasses developed in collaboration with Gentle Monster a Warby ParkerThey will retain a civilian design, run on Google's Android XR operating system, and have AI directly integrated into them. GeminiWe could learn the final details about them at the event.

Summer Unpacked 2026 clearly shows that Samsung no longer wants to rely on minor evolution, but after years of stagnating, it is finally taking bolder steps. The key moment will be the splitting of the series Fold to a "standard" model with a more user-friendly, wider aspect ratio and uncompromising variantu Ultra, which is a strategy the manufacturer should have implemented long ago.

However, the real dark horse of the whole event may be smart glasses with Android XR and integrated Gemini – if Samsung can deliver a product with a civilian design and a reasonable price, it has an ideal opportunity to define a new era of wearable electronics before competition fully establishes itself in this segment.
