One UI 8.5 has been officially available for three months now, so if you bought a model in the series Galaxy S26 or later Galaxy A57 or A37. But the only way to update older models was to look at them in the form of beta programu, not in the live version. But the wait really shouldn't be long, at least according to a familiar leaker.
@theonecid posted a post on the X network about the release schedule for the superset One UI 8.5, when according to his contribution the implementation for the series should Galaxy S25, as well as Galaxy Z Fold7 to Z Flip7, starting around May 8. This is because he received data from a Canadian carrier that says it will start releasing a live version One UI 8.5 a day later, on May 9th.

In addition to the top models of the year 2025 Updates for older phones, including the series, are expected Galaxy S24, will follow “shortly thereafter.” This assumption is based on a comment from a Samsung community moderator shared by a user in X @galaxyupdatesxWhile this sounds promising, of course we can't say anything for sure until Samsung releases the promised schedule.

So far, everything has been flexible, as "schedules may change based on testing." And it makes sense. This is probably one of the reasons why Samsung missed the previous schedule for the release of the live version, which according to another support member was supposed to be April 30th (although Labor Day also interfered). But information from support cannot be taken for granted, which is now confirmed again. Samsung itself has not officially stated any schedule, so we can't be angry with it in this regard - except for how it generally takes its time with the release.
