Google is continuing to focus on the Google Photos app and is planning to add another new feature to it. After the ability to create collages and remixes, plus new AI features, this time there will be a completely simple and ordinary button that allows you to copy photos. And it's almost surprising that it hasn't been available here yet. Copying is one of the most common activities of users. And soon it will hopefully be much easier.

Sharing photos and videos from the app Google photos It's possible, but it's not as easy as you might expect. Especially if you want your creation to move to another applicationIn this case, it is necessary to first share the item via the Google menu (i.e. typically Bluetooth, WhatsApp etc.) or download it first and save it elsewhere. Which is incredibly complicated these days.

Fortunately, Google has decided to fix this shortcoming. Android Authority discovered in the app version Google Photos v7.63.0.867680147 code that includes a button named Copy. This varianta should soon appear alongside other sharing options, so you can do everything with one tap. Unfortunately, it seems it will not be possible to copy multiple images at once.

Redesign of Albums in Google Photos

But this is not the only change planned. It turned out that Google intends to continue redesigning the application. Most of it has already been adapted to the design language Material 3 Expressive, but there are still some shortcomings. Google discovered them on the Albums page.

Alba should be waiting for you soon in the upper part groups of linked buttonsIt will be like one solid button displaying different options one after the other. And it will not lack the typical rounded edges of this pill.

The change will also affect the page displaying available update Google Photos. You can find it under the bell icon and after the redesign it should appear here list of recently updated albums.

I'm glad that these are finally practical changes that everyone will probably appreciate. I really miss the ability to copy photos, and I've already found myself in a precarious situation several times when I had to copy images in an unexpectedly complicated and lengthy way. Unfortunately, no one knows when Google will send the changes to the stable version of the Google Photos app.
