Google has recently released stable versions of models Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash and made them available to all users. In addition, it began implementing significant improvements for Gemini, which is support for video recording and analysis.
As spotted by 9to5Google, you can now do so in the app Gemini for Android to record videos and notchat analyze them. The process is the same as attaching an image to a prompt.: just press the + button and select a clip from the gallery. Then you can request Gemini about summarizing what's happening in the clip, about exploring and finding specific parts, etc. Along with the text response, Google's smart assistant will display the relevant part of the video directly above it. Depending on the length of the video, the analysis in Gemini take some time.

Reports that Google is working on an app Gemini on video recording support, first appeared in early April. Ability to analyze videos in Gemini builds on the assistant's existing ability to summarize YouTube videos.
