Samsung recently released a new update for the phone Galaxy A56, which brought it the May security patch and Google Assistant AI integration Gemini to the power button. However, it also seems to have caused a serious problem with the phone booting.

In recent days, some phone users Galaxy A56 reports on the European Samsung community forum that they are having trouble starting it after installing the latest update. The phone is said to freeze on the restart screen (so the one showing the gears wheela) to it will not start.

One of the users shared a simple trick that can solve this annoying problem. It consists in removing the SIM card from the phone and then restarting it (by pressing and holding the volume down and power buttons simultaneously).

Once your device has fully booted up and reached the home screen, you can reinsert your SIM card. While this is not an official Samsung fix, it may help your phone work again. It's definitely a better solution than factory resetting it.

Samsung has not acknowledged this issue yet, but it is likely that they will do so and release an official fix soon. Until then, the best temporary solution is the SIM card removal method.
