Samsung has started releasing the May security patch for its Galaxy series models Galaxy The S25 was released last week, but only in the US and only for devices that are tied to carriers. Now, however, the update is reaching the global market.

The company has started releasing the May 2025 software update for the series Galaxy S25 in other global markets. Owners Galaxy S25s in Asia are getting the latest update with the AYDA version. The package for the top model Galaxy S25 Ultra is just under 700 MB. This is a larger file than a typical monthly security patch. This suggests a lot more bug fixes and stability improvements. Don't expect any new features here, though. As mentioned earlier, those will come in the next update.

Samsung is reportedly working on camera improvements, UI improvements, and other upgrades for its new flagship lineup. It could release these changes in a separate update later this month, or rather, include them in the June security patch. If you're using Galaxy S25, S25+ or S25 Ultra, you can check for update availability manually in Settings -> Software update -> Download a install.
