Press Release: QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking, and storage solutions, has enhanced its AMIZ management platformcloud o support for remote monitoring of switches, which significantly simplifies the management of corporate networks and reduces device maintenance costs. Currently supported switch models: QSW-M3224-24T, QSW-IM3216-8S8T, QSW-M3216R-8S8T, QSW-M3212R-8S4T a QSW-M7308R-4X with additional switches being supported in the future.

AMIZcloud je cloudA centralized management platform that enables IT adminiadministrators to manage QNAP NAS, switches, and other VNF network devices from a single interface. This eliminates the need for additional servers and simplifies hardware management. AMIZcloud It supports hierarchical “organization” and “workplace” structures, making it easy to visualize and manage devices across departments. It is ideal for businesses with multiple locations and large infrastructures, providing secure, efficient and affordable management.

“IT teams often face the challenge of managing devices scattered across multiple sites,” said Ronald Hsu, Product Manager at QNAP, adding, “The QNAP AMIZ Platformcloud "brings a simple and affordable multi-device management solution that allows IT departments to easily monitor the operating status of NAS and switches, greatly improving management efficiency. In the future, the platform will continue to optimize software management functions while supporting more remote monitoring and device configuration functions, enabling centralized management in one place."

For connecting switches to the AMIZ platformcloud for centralized management must users to upgrade their switches to the latest software version QSS v4.1 or QSS Pro v4.1, this new version also supports the following features:

  • Centralized management via cloudu: Monitors multiple switches via AMIZcloud for remote diagnostics and reduced maintenance costs. Get an overview of the device (IP address, connection status, temperature, firmware version), ports (connection status, transfer speed) and easily pair devices thanks to the built-in cloudto the new guide.
  • Real-time monitoring of optical ports: The optical ports feature integrated optical transceivers and DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) and enable real-time monitoring and reporting of parameters related to optical connections, such as optical power, temperature, voltage, and transceiver status.
  • AVoIP low latency user experience: Supports IGMP Snooping with QoS priority management, suitable for video walls and large outdoor display walls.
  • Other functions: QoS enables detailed traffic control (queue scheduling) and priority management (Strict Policy), ensuring fast processing of critical traffic and optimizing network performance. ACL Mirroring allows you to duplicate network traffic according to specific ACL rules and route it to monitoring or analysis devices.

DDM is only supported on switches with optical ports: QSW-IM3216-8S8T, QSW-M3216R-8S8T, QSW-M3212R-8S4T and QSW-M7308R-4X.
