Samsung releases many phones of different series every year. At the same time, you can also buy older devices that still have great equipment, but because they are, for example, last year's models, they are considerably cheaper. But how to find out which device is from which year? It's not that complicated.

It's easiest with a row Galaxy S. For the others, however, it is enough to follow the clear instructions (which was published by Samsung itself) and you will easily know which phone was released in which year. Of course, this comes in handy considering how much software support it actually gets from the company. We covered this in a separate article here.

At the row Galaxy S here the number corresponds to the year of introduction. That's the line Galaxy S24 was released in 2024, series Galaxy The S22 was then released in 2022. However, this numbering applies from 2020, to which the series corresponds Galaxy S20. A year earlier, i.e. in 2019, the series was released Galaxy S10, the year before the S9 series, etc.

With determination of the age of the series Galaxy A you can proceed in a similar way, but here you will pay attention to the last model number. The difference here is that to determine the year, one must be subtracted from it. Model Galaxy So the A55 was released in 2024, the model Galaxy A32 in 2021 and the like.

Flexible phones series Galaxy Z, when it comes to Galaxy Z Fold a Galaxy Z Flip, have series marked with a single number. This year we have seen the generation Galaxy Z Foldu6a Z Flipu6, so it is necessary to subtract a two to determine the year of launch. For example, Galaxy Z Fold3 a Z Flip3 of 2021.
