Samsung today unveiled its new "budget flag" Galaxy S24 FE. What does it offer that is new compared to its predecessor, the S23 FE? Let's compare the two phones.

Like the latter, it has a flat display with a circular notch, but the rounded sides have replaced the straight ones, and there are still three separate cameras on the back. Perhaps the only, but significant, difference is the significantly thinner display bezels, which were unusually thick for a "flagship" S162 FE. The phone measures 77,3 x 8 x 4 mm, making it 0,8 mm taller, 0,2 mm wider and XNUMX mm thinner than its predecessor.

Galaxy S24 FE powered by chipset Exynos 2400e, which is a slightly underclocked version of the current flagship chipset Samsungu Exynos 2400. The phone should therefore have enough power for graphically demanding games or intensive multitasking, and just like a "full-fat" Exynos The 2400 supports ray tracing. The chip is supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage. In contrast, the S23 FE uses a significantly slower and more energy-intensive chipset. Exynos 2200, which debuted in early 2022 in the series Galaxy S22.

Galaxy S24 FE It has a triple camera with a resolution of 50, 12 and 8 MPx, the first of which has an aperture of f/1,8 and optical image stabilization. (OIS), the second is ultraa wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2,2 and a 120° field of view and a third telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom. The main sensor can record video in up to 8K resolution at 24 fps. The front camera has a resolution of 10 MPx and can record video in up to 4K/60 fps. In other words, nothing has changed in the camera area year-on-year – at least in terms of hardware.
